This high-rise hotel sits directly on the famous sands of Waikiki. This hotel has something for everyone, from the Serenity Spa to the Hawaiian-themed activities planned just for guests. Currently undergoing renovations, the Outrigger on the Beach promises to unveil a more luxurious interior in late 2007. The planned renovation will bring granite countertops, a more earth-inspired color palette, and chic rattan-accented furniture.

Dining options abound at the Outrigger Reef on the Beach. The Aloha Lobby Lounge serves up cocktails and light fare, while the Pool Terrace Bar is a casual dining restaurant with the feel of a sports bar. For more formal dining, guests can choose the Shore Bird Restaurant and Beach Bar, where fresh seafood and choice cuts of meat are served up alongside a well-stocked all-you-can-eat salad bar. Another option for fresh local seafood is the Ocean House Restaurant, also on the lobby level of the Outrigger Reef. Here, Asian influences mix with Hawaiian favorites and seafood classics in dishes such as Kahuku Moi steamed with garlic scampi black bean sauce.
